Any questions?

Oil mist detectors prevent explosions in engine housings of large diesel and dual fuel engines. These can occur, for example, after damage to the crankshaft. SCHALLER AUTOMATION has specialised in this task and today are the worldwide market and technology leader for these safety systems. The first VISATRON type system, which was developed by company founder Werner Schaller himself, was sold back in 1968.

The more systems went out into the world, the more of these systems were operating in ocean-going vessels such as ferries, tankers, container ships or cruise ships, the more important it became for SCHALLER AUTOMATION to establish a worldwide service network for optimum customer care. Today, the operators of these vessels can obtain support from 40 service partners for 45 countries, including four own Schaller branch offices.

VISATRON oil mist detectors are approved by all relevant classification bodies and protect engines from the most renowned engine manufacturers in the world, from a size of 2 MW.

In the future, VISATRON oil mist detectors will also be available in a fire-resistant version with ATEX certificate. Furthermore, the oil mist detectors will be equipped with additional sensors which will provide a new type of protection system for the entire engine.
